Contrack
Supply Chain is a purpose made Supply Chain Management software
tool. It is a central repository for all company and project-related
data, and holds details of current and prospective projects
with a breakdown of the packages within each phase of a project.
It supports the selection of professionals, contractors,
subcontractors and suppliers for project work, logs details
of the tenders received, provides scoring mechanisms to
support supplier pre-qualification and bid evaluation as
well as recording details of the successful tender when
an order is placed.
Contrack has a powerful performance monitoring, measurement
and benchmarking facility. User performance, their subcontractors
and suppliers, their clients or any relevant party can be
scored at project, package and tender level.
The new industry wide Key Performance Indicators identified
by the DETR sponsored Construction Best Practice Programme
are fully supported in addition to comparisons with external
benchmark data. In addition to industry benchmarks the user
can also configure their own key performance indicators
(KPI's), whatever they may be.

Companies
Contrack maintains a comprehensive register of companies.
It records the basic details of each company (address, phone
numbers, web site etc) and allows companies to be categorised
for reporting and selection purposes. Parent company information
can be recorded, with reporting provided at company or parent
level.
Against each company the system lists known contacts and
details of any projects with which a company is involved.
Companies can be allocated automatically to members of the
sales force.
Contrack also holds details of a company's capability and
capacity. The system includes facilities to select companies
for tender lists and project work, by specifying capability
and capacity criteria. Other information recorded on a company
includes:
Services offered, types of project work undertaken
Coverage, areas in which work is undertaken
Quality Assurance scheme details
Insurance details
Capacity, numbers of staff employed, minimum and maximum
project values.
Contacts
Information is held on the contacts at each of the companies
on the system.
It records the basic details of each contact (personal
address, phone numbers, email address etc) and allows them
to be categorised for reporting and selection purposes such
as mail shots (e.g. distributing newsletters, inviting attendance
at functions, Christmas card lists).
Contacts can also be assigned to staff members if required.
Contrack also shows details of the projects and packages
in which a contact has had an involvement and the responses
a contact has made to promotion events.
Projects
Contrack records the required details of all existing and
prospective projects and tracks the progress of a project
throughout its life.
It can hold a complete breakdown of the works packages
that comprise a project. Companies such as the client, the
main contractor and members of the professional team can
be linked to projects, and subcontractors, suppliers etc.
to individual packages as appropriate.
Each project can be categorised by type, contract form,
status etc., with these categories forming the basis for
analysis. In addition to the basic details of a project;
name, location, value etc, Contrack lists any companies
with influence over the project; the client, the architect,
the main contractor or construction manager and so on, including
details on the individuals working on the project as appropriate.
