CarrierPoint allows transportation business partners to deal directly without using labor-intensive and error-prone business processes or expensive EDI technology. This real-time communication enhances the traditional logistics process, significantly increasing efficiencies and reducing costs for all participants.
CarrierPoints AutoRate, combined with our WebDispatch and DSM products, provide a platform to support and enforce compliance, while completely automating the dispatch process. Shipments are automatically offered to carriers in least-cost order according to your service-based routing guides.
Carriers are notified in order (over the internet, and by e-mail, pager, or cell phone according to their preferences), with the carrier audience expanding over time until the load is covered. Exception conditions can be pre-configured to expedite coverage, such as offering the load simultaneously to a number of similarly-priced carriers. Transportation managers can monitor coverage on-line, handling exceptions rather than finding carriers.
